Why L'Étoile, from Locust Valley

Closer than the city, dressier than the bistro

A real French dinner in six minutes — escargots, sole meunière, a Bourgogne by the glass. No need to drive forty minutes into Manhattan.

After Friends Academy or Piping Rock

Match days, parents' nights, the kind of dinner you don't want to rush. The kitchen runs from 5 PM seven days a week.

Wine that's worth a phone call ahead

If you have a particular old-Burgundy or Champagne in mind, call Stéphanie our sommelier — she may already have it, or can usually source it for the night.

An anniversary, a birthday, a milestone

Tell us when you book; we'll seat you at table 6 (the corner banquette), light a candle, and the kitchen will write a small note on the dessert.
